How accurate is the allergy analysis?
The analysis depends on the information provided. A clear, well-lit image of the complete ingredient list gives the app more reliable information than a photo of a prepared dish. Results may still miss ingredients, so always confirm against the official package label before eating.
What allergens does the app support?
The food profile includes gluten, milk, egg, fish, peanut, tree nuts, soy, and honey. You select the items relevant to you, and checks are compared with that profile.
Can I scan any food label?
You can scan a printed ingredient list that the camera can read clearly. Small text, glare, folds, missing parts of a label, and poor lighting can reduce the quality of the analysis. Retake the image or review the label manually when anything is unclear.
Does the app replace medical advice?
No. Allergy Scanner is an informational tool, not a medical device, and it does not diagnose, treat, or prevent allergies. Follow your healthcare professional’s advice and personal emergency plan.
How does pricing work?
The app is free to download and includes in-app purchases. Available options can change, so review the current choices shown in the App Store or inside the app.
Is Allergy Scanner available on Android?
Not yet. Allergy Scanner is currently available for iPhone through the App Store. An Android version is not available at the moment.
